LRO blends the heady nostalgia of soulful Old School Hip Hop with a sleek selection of current Trap and Alt-R&B. Her sets curate sounds from Soul, Funk, Disco House, R&B, Grime, UK Garage and more – expect to hear party hits from the 90s mixed with soulful classics and the latest tracks from emerging artists.
Beginning her career in the industry as a professional dancer and choreographer, LRO was inspired by the creativity and control DJs exerted over the music they mixed. Combining her individual style with a dancer’s instinctual feel for rhythm and beat, LRO effortlessly reads the energy of the crowd taking them exactly where they need to go.
Equally at home playing lounge sets in atmospheric venues and party sets in dingy clubs, her residencies are testament to her versatility. LRO currently plays weekly at renowned member’s club Century in Soho where she takes over the sound on their beautiful roof terrace, and bi-monthly at established party night Pour It Up, where she’s warmed up for the likes of Etta Bond, Ms Dynamite, Shortee Blitz and Soul II Soul’s Jazzie B.
LRO’s skill, professionalism and unique style have secured her headline slots at a host of other nights – notably R&B Soho’s first rooftop party alongside Radio 1’s DJ Larizzle and an on-going position with Soca/Dancehall specialists Just Vibez run by Doctor’s Orders’ MC Pranksta.
Her cooly understated aesthetic and personal style have seen her spinning launches for style bible Idle Man and London College of Fashion among others.
LRO’s smoothly curated sound moves feet, mind and mood, quickly establishing her as a selector to watch in venues across London and beyond.
