Bicep were originally born in Belfast but are now based in London. The Belfast duo is made up of Matt McBriar and Andy Ferguson.

Two years down the line, ‘Isles’ expands on the energy created by the album from 2017 named ‘Bicep’. The ‘isles’ will dig deeper into their own sound, experiences and emotions that have influenced their own lives.

Lead single ‘Apricots’ encapsulates these disparate influences perfectly. The accompanying video is directed by BAFTA winning director Mark Jenkin. ‘Atlas’, the first track from the new album, was released to massive acclaim in March 2020, its euphoric energy and bittersweet heft hit all the harder in uncertain times. Biceps sound was forged as their own as it helped their rapid ascent through the music ranks began after starting their legendary FeelMyBicep blog in 2008, its humble trove of Italo, house and disco deep cuts grew into a runaway success.

“Bicep” was followed by a massively successful tour, which saw them raise the roof at Primavera, Coachella and Glastonbury before a triumphant three-night sold-out run of shows at Printworks in London. They sold out two forthcoming Brixton Academy shows in a matter of minutes.
