Reebok x Dime

The crossover partnership between Reebok and Dime is set to be further enriched this season with a new sneaker collaboration that involves the Reebok BB4000.

Design inspiration for these collaborative kicks is predicated on the infamous “restoration” of the “Ecce Homo” painting incident that took place nearly a decade ago. The art piece which is located in Santuario de la Misericordia — a Catholic church based in Zaragoza, Spain — was essentially vandalized as a well-intentioned parishioner attempted to refurbish the at-the-time deteriorating Jesus portrait. Dime has shown a genuine interest in this viral moment as it has decorated printables, a toaster, and puzzles with the “Restoration” graphic, and now it is transferring its imagery to a duo of Reebok BB4000s.

Two colourways are on deck, one being a crisp white leather with navy blue accents while the other sees through to an autumnal brown suede base married up next to solid black accents. The tongues are perhaps the most symbolic elements of this particular project as actual Jesus-inspired portraits are slapped on top. From there, Dime-branded tabs are seated just adjacent to the silhouette’s traditional lateral windows that host the classic Reebok branding.
