Longines is making partnering with the 2022 Commonwealth Games to release a limited edition diver watch. The Longines HydroConquest XXII Commonwealth Games will be limited to 2,022 pieces to celebrate one of the world’s great sporting events, involving more than 70 Commonwealth nations and territories.
Longines began its relationship with the event at the 1962 games and also were partnered in the 2014 and 2018 games. They have now signed an agreement for the 2022, 2026 and 2030 games.
The 41mm stainless steel HydroConquest is water resistant to 300m with a unidirectional ceramic bezel, a screw-down crown and a diving extension clasp. The caseback is individually numbered and engraved with the logo of the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games. The neon colors of the event logo are used for the bezel markings and the dial’s minute track.
The 3.5Hz Calibre L888.5 automatic features a 72-hour power reserve and a silicon balance spring for improved performance and resistance to magnetic and temperature-based variation.
The HydroConquest XXII Commonwealth Games will be released to the public in February, priced £1,600.
